Sample tracking connects a sample identifier to its progress through collection and laboratory processing. A useful workflow records status changes, collection details and exceptions so staff can understand what needs attention.
Home collection and staff assignment
The existing backend includes home collection bookings with scheduled dates, time slots and assigned phlebotomists. It also includes a location-update endpoint. A complete field tracking app, live map, background GPS behavior and device permissions require a separate integration and validation review.
Barcode and sample lifecycle
The existing interface includes barcode label previews, sample status changes and rejection handling. These features can support a discussion about collection handover, lab receipt and recollection workflows. Confirm printer compatibility and the exact status process before implementation.

No. An endpoint is one component. Continuous location collection, permission handling, maps, background operation and access controls must be implemented and tested together.

The existing collection and sample features are part of the laboratory workspace. Integration with another LIMS depends on its supported APIs and the agreed data exchange requirements.
